To make the Pine Shale Shampoo we travel to the site of an ancient forest in Germany and take shale from deep within the earth. Our shale deposit was, centuries ago, a dense pine forest with towering trees. When the forest died, the trees and needles decomposed and created pools of shale. Because pine needles form a leaf structure that consists of more surface area than any other tree, the pine tree is unique in the concentration of oxygen that it receives. We mix high quality, sulfated shale oil with pine tree oils.
